GOD IS THE HIGHEST AUTHORITY, I DO NOT FEAR

GOD IS THE HIGHEST AUTHORITY, I DO NOT FEAR

Sakkie Parsons

Someone wrote to me, and between the lines I understand that people close to the person operate witchcraft and sorcery/magic and the person is now afraid that it will adhere etc.

How wonderful to have this assurance that someone who truly accepted Jesus Christ as his/her Lord and Savior, and walk in the ways of our Lord, really do not have to have their own fear of witchcraft and sorcery, because how glorious we know:

1JOHN 4:4-6
4  Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
5  They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them.
6  We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
1JOHN 5:4-5
4  For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world–our faith.
5  Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
There are only so to speak, two spiritual powers in this universe and that is God's Holy Spirit with His angels and satan and his angels.

Why would I be afraid of Satan's powers, if I have God's Holy Spirit residing in me?

GAL 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Of course, satan has power but only God has sovereignty and this we see very clearly in the following passage from the Bible:

EXO 7:9-12
9  "When Pharaoh says to you, 'Prove yourselves by working a miracle,' then you shall say to Aaron, 'Take your staff and cast it down before Pharaoh, that it may become a serpent.'"
10  So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the LORD commanded. Aaron cast down his staff before Pharaoh and his servants, and it became a serpent.
11  Then Pharaoh summoned the wise men and the sorcerers, and they, the magicians of Egypt, also did the same by their secret arts.
12  For each man cast down his staff, and they became serpents. But Aaron's staff swallowed up their staffs.

(Shame, the old wizards with their old bodies had to go without their walking sticks.)
I do not know what you circumstances or situation is, but what I do know is that if you are a child of God, you just have to rebuke satan in the Name of Jesus and he will flew from you.

JAMES 4:7-8
7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8  Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. …

For how wonderful to know and to live accordingly:

ACTS 4:12  And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

If satan in any capacity comes to you, rebuke him in the Name of Jesus Christ and then, quote the Word of our Lord, namely the Bible to him.  This is how Jesus, who is an example and perfect model to us in all our ways, rebuked him each time.  I give you an example:

MATT 4:8-11
8  Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
9  And he said to him, "All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me."
10  Then Jesus said to him, "Be gone, Satan! For it is written, "'You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.'"
11  Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and were ministering to him.

You must have never have anything to do with anything of satan.  Then you play with fire – and for everyone who plays with it or fooling around with it or are involved in it, it eventually leads to a much hotter fire, namely the fire of hell.

MATT 10:28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

PSALM 27:1 Of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

I hope I could show you, as a child of our Lord, you need not to fear witchery and sorcery.  Just keep your eyes on our Lord and make sure that you have nothing to do with that kind of junk.
Remember the motto:  “Mix with litter and the pigs will consume you”

GAL 5:19-21
19  Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality,
20  idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions,
21  envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
