WE HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE BUT SO IMMEASURABLE TO GAIN ACTING IN THIS WAY

Sakkie Parsons

Someone tells me of her loved ones who are involved in a heavy word struggle from time to time and even though they love each other, they struggle in this area.
I would like to share my reply with you because I believe disputes between loved ones are a problem that many people struggle with.

Let's read the words of JESUS:

MAT 5:3-15, 16

3  "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4  "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
5  "Blessed are the meek (soft of heart, gentle, humble) for they shall inherit the earth.
6  "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
7  "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
8  "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
9  "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
10  "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11  "Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.
12  Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

The task of Jesus’ followers:

13  "You are the salt of the earth, …
14  "You are the light of the world. …
16  In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

It is when, as the saying goes; 'when the pawpaw hits the fan,' that we as Christians have ‘to show our steel’ in a situation.

It is then, but actually I have to say: It is specially then that we as Jesus’ followers have to live what we believe. (Live Jesus)

I will leave you with the following – and remember if you read it:

"We cannot lose anything by acting so, but we will surely gain significantly.”

Amplified Bible:

MAT 5:5 Blessed (happy, blithesome, joyous, spiritually prosperous – with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favour and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the meek (the mild, patient, long-suffering), for they shall inherit the earth!

MAT 5:9 Blessed (enjoying enviable happiness, spiritually prosperous – with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favour and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the makers and maintainers of peace, for they shall be called the sons of God!

Sakkie
